CALL FOR APLICATION


I. International "105*148 mm" Mail- and E-Mail Art Triennial, Topic: Today



Magdolna Barti, graphic artist - curator, in collaboration with the XVIII District Art Association, Kondor Béla Community Centre, Pestszentimre Community Centre, Képírás Online Literary and Art Magazine and MET Hungarian Electrographic Society, will organize the I. "105*148" Mail- and E-Mail Art Triennial in Budapest (HU) in 2022. We are looking for special technical solutions synthesizing new processes, original expressions, current technical and content-related problems, demanding works that characteristically present the artistic possibilities of digital and traditional techniques.


PARTICIPANTS

The Triennial is open to individual professional artists and students of art academia. Associations and organisations are not eligible.


CRITERIA FOR ENTRIES

Applications should be submitted via the online form: online 

 

Please sent a copy of the payment receipt for the entry fee and a digital reproduction of your artwork to be included in the printed catalogue in e-mail: hello@bartimagdolna.com

 

Requirements for digital reproductions:

- should be in any of JPG, PNG or TIFF formats with a resolution of at least 300 dpi

- the longer dimension of the image should be at least 2500 pixels

- file size should not exceed 15 MB

 

Successful applications will be confirmed by e-mail.

Entry fee is 4000 HUF.

CRITERIA FOR ENTRIES

- Topic: "Today"

- Artworks made using traditional and digital techniques are welcome.

- Dimensions of artworks should not exceed 105x148 mm.

- Submitted works should have been created within the recent two years (2020-2022).

- Each artist may submit up to 3 works. Individual parts of a series are considered separate works.


IMPORTANT

Please provide the images without frames or pasteboards. In case of series individual works should be numbered and signed according to international standards.

 

Please enclose a printed copy of the completed entry form and the payment receipt for the entry fee.

 

Important! By submitting an entry and paying the entry fee, the entrant undertakes to deliver the artwork to the Triennial by post or in person.

 

Works received only by e-mail will be screened.

 

The organisers do not undertake the printing of the artworks nor the reimbursing of printing costs.

  2.  A selection of the exhibition material will be presented at the MET Gallery of the Hungarian Electrographic Society (Bölcső u. 9, 1117 Budapest, Hungary). 

EXHIBITION

The exhibition will be opened by Béla Garamvölgyi painter, master teacher, president of the XVIII. District Art Association


DATE OF EXHIBITION

 The exhibition will be held in the autumn of 2022.

 

Exact date will be announced later taking into account of the epidemiological situation.

  • Organizers of the triennial are: graphic artist Magdolna Barti - curator, XVIII District Art Association, the cultural institutions of the XVIII district of Budapest, Képírás Online Literary and Art Magazine and the Hungarian Electrographic Society / MET
  • The exhibition material will be published in a catalogue, which will be presented online, as well as in print. A printed copy will be sent to all participants.
  • Artists have the option to donate their artworks by stating so in the application form. Donated artworks will be added to the "105*148 mm" International Mail Art collection.
  • Artworks sent by post will be returned by post after the exhibition closes. Within one year at the latest.
  • The organisers of the Triennale reserve the right to arrange exhibitions. 
  • By registering for the Triennale, participants automatically accept its rules
